Testimonials are one of the strongest forms of social proof there are. However, for a testimonial to work, it’s important the reader knows who the person behind it is. One of the best ways to do that is with a photo.
A photo immediately allows the reader to make a personal connection and see who they’re dealing with. It also verifies that the testimonial is real. Faces in general make your page feel more trustworthy and genuine if they’re used well, and if there’s ever a good place to use them, it’s at your testimonials.
Obviously, do make sure it’s a real photo and not a cheesy stock photo. Those never, ever, ever work.
