Don’t offer too many options

May 4, 2020

I’ve seen websites that offer 6, 7, 10 or even more pricing options on one pricing page. It probably goes without saying that that’s pretty ridiculous. Sometimes they were all for the same product, sometimes they were for different products, but the fact remains that such a large amount of prices and options is overwhelming and confusing.

The last thing you want to do is confuse (and thus frustrate) your customers. Because of that, it’s best to stick to two or three pricing options maximum, maybe with an external “Customized plan” option for large businesses without a set price.

If you do insist on having more price plans, hide some of them behind sliders. For example, make a button that says “I’m looking for a personal/business license”, which then causes the appropriate prices to show up.
