When someone lands on your page, they should be naturally guided through it. The page’s structure and design should help the visitor see where to look first, second, third, etc.
This may be best explained with some examples. First, let’s visit www.convertwell.io. Notice how there’s a natural structure? Your attention first goes to the headline, then the logos below it, and then the products below that. Sure, the page structure is a bit simple, but you know where to look.
Now, try visiting www.lingscars.com. It’s a classic example of bad design, but it is for a reason. I don’t know where to look! My eyes are bleeding! Obviously it’s an extreme example, but the point holds true: Use your design to naturally guide your visitors through your page.
