Logging in can sometimes take a little while. That’s OK, as long as you make it clear that something is happening.
If the user doesn’t realize the page is loading, they may start clicking the sign-in button over and over again, or possibly even leave the page. That’s why it’s important to visualize the fact that the page is working on it.
As soon as a user clicks the sign-in button, make a small pop-up appear with a spinning circle and the text “Signing in…”. That will make it clear to the reader that they just have to wait a few seconds, and thus they will.
